Cane Garden Bay is the ultimate Caribbean beach. It has everything - swaying palm trees, a perfect sweep of fine white sand and turquoise blue waters that lap the shore. Above, and all around , the view of stunning tropical hillsides will astound you - as the lush, green vistas stretch from the crescent beach that surrounds you all the way to the sky. Tortola's most famous beach is popular with visitors who like to be at the centre of it all - as the beach also plays host to an array of restaurants, water sports companies, shops and bars. If you are looking for peace , tranquility and the ultimate tropical escape Cane Garden Bay in the summer months is for you . During the peak season from December to March it can be pretty busy ( great for people watching), its also a popular stop on the island tours at this time of year when there is a cruise ship in town. Getting to Cane Garden Bay - From Road Town, take the coast road towards West End, turn right after Big Ben's Suprette following signs for Long Bay. Go over the top of Zion Hill, at the bottom of the hill on the other side you will reach a T junction - turn right towards Bombas shack. Continue on that road through Carrot Bay, up the hill, at the top of the hill turn left to Cane Garden Bay. You will see the Bay beneath you as you wind your way down the hill. OR . Take the Joes Hill Road from Road Town up onto the Ridge Road and cross the island on the Cane Garden Bay Road. At the top of the hill above the bay keep left ( a right turn will take you down into Brewers Bay)and drive down into the eastern end of Cane Garden Bay. SWIM - due to our leeward location on Tortola, Cane Garden offers one of the finest beaches in the B.V.I. There is no need for swim shoes on our beach! The white sand continues all the way to the reef. In summer months, the bay is a relaxing, tranquil pool. In winter months, if the surf is up, you may enjoy the excitement of a little body surfing. FISH - venture to the point and enjoy the sport of tarpon fishing, right from the beach! SNORKEL - for inexperienced and young vacationers, Cane Garden is the spawning ground for several varieties of fish. With or without a mask and snorkel, enjoy watching them play around your feet or venture only 50 yards off the beach and see more colorful varieties on the wreck of an old barge.
